But energy required to prolong network lifetime while maintaining high level of data delivery is one key challenge faced when deploying this application. In this paper, we propose an energy efficient Stable medium access control (Stable-MAC) protocol in WBAN that overcomes the barriers that leads to energy wastage in data transmission. The protocol is built on IEEE 802.15.4 standard which is widely deployed in telemedicine applications. The superframe was modified within the allowed standard and Stable-MAC was designed and implemented in which timeslot were effectively assigned.
